Save the World with Outbreak Control App for Blackberry

Outbreak is a word that is usually used to describe the spread of a virus or some other form of sickness. While the outbreak in Outbreak Control App for Blackberry is also that, the actual form of the game is a curious division between that kind of high-octane action premise and the highly strategic and tactical game that comes behind the name.

An interesting plot for an interesting game

As the lead scientist for one of the most desperate research projects ever conceived in the history of humanity, what you will need to do is find a vaccine that helps with the six deadliest viruses ever seen in human history. Together, these six viral agents represent the overall hex virus and up until your efforts to contain the spread with a vaccine it has really run amok amongst humans and been unstoppable at every turn.

However, things go from bad to worse at the start of this game because of the fact that Outbreak Control Blackberry app starts with the virus getting loose and starting to spread all around the hex grid that forms the outbreak area. Your goal for the entire experiment is to start by containing the virus and then finding a cure. You must then use that cure to reduce the presence of the hex virus after you have contained the virus and prevented an outbreak in the process. It is a very interesting premise and that alone will be enough to bring a lot of people into the fold.

Real strategy and tactics involved

In the actual Outbreak Control Blackberry game app, you are faced with a hex grid that itself is also made up of hexagonal spaces that will be occupied by viral and cure elements. In each stage, your goal is to battle the bad guys to a standstill and then eventually circumvent and defeat them. Each victory just makes the next battle tougher, making this game really akin to a game of chess on steroids. Bring your best mental game, but don’t start the game unless you have the mental wherewithal to finish it.

Final Score

Outbreak Control app for Blackberry, as stated in the intro, is really a combination of strategy, tactics and action. Not many games can pull that off and even fewer of them exist for the Blackberry platform. In the end, Blackberry Outbreak Control app receives a final score of 9 out of 10 and a hearty recommendation.

Although the chessboard cannot really recreate the battle in detail because the position of the pieces at the start is the same each time, it can recreate some of the imagery and that is what is done with the pieces on the chessboard in this game. The greatest war kings of the medieval period are represented here and reliving history through the chessboard is a big part of what Medieval Kings Chess II Blackberry game app is all about.

That means that you can play against other human players through this software, playing ladder games and even going for the “chess by mail” option that allows you to game up to 16 moves at once. Live games are also available if you happen to have an opponent in real life that you’d like to play.

Final Score

In the final consideration, Blackberry Medieval Kings Chess II game app is mostly about the visual effects. As long as you have decent AI a chess game is hard to mess up. However, the visually stunning nature of this app combined with multiplayer support serves to catapult it from the good to the great category. At the end of the day, we decided to take that into consideration and give this Medieval Kings Chess II app for Blackberry a final score of 8 out of 10.

Rubix Redux BlackBerry App Review

Has the solution to Rubik’s Cube always confounded and avoided you?  Are you afraid to carry a real cube on the bus or leave it on your desk because you fear the judging eyes of others watching you struggle hopelessly with the cube?  If either of those things is true, you certainly need to look at the Rubix Redux BlackBerry app that is currently available for free on the BlackBerry.

Bring the essence of Rubik’s Cube to the BlackBerry

Even though Rubix Redux app for BlackBerry is not exactly the same as a standard Rubik’s Cube, it does make a fair approximation. You will be looking at one face of the cube as you try to solve the puzzle and make everyone else see what a genius you are. One of the advantages of having this app on your BlackBerry is that once you’ve solved it, the proof can always be there with you for you to show everyone that you want.

Rubix Redux BlackBerry App
Make the same moves as a standard Rubik’s Cube

All of the same moves that you would make when handling an actual cube are available to you in Rubix Redux app for BlackBerry. You can shift an available column up or down. You can move a row left or right. Whatever move you make, what is available on the visible face of the cube will change according to the input that you give. It is exactly a simulation of the Rubik’s Cube except with the computerized elements included to make the whole process easier for you.

Save your progress for later continuation

Even though we’d all like to think of ourselves as puzzle geniuses, most of us will need a little bit of extra time to solve something as complex as a Rubik’s Cube. If you find that the time you’d set aside has run out and you need to continue your puzzle solving excellence at a later date, you can easily save the progress that you’ve made. Then, when you load it later, you will start off exactly from where you left before.

Final Score

The Rubik’s Cube remains one of the biggest puzzles in the world in terms of popularity and excellence. Now, BlackBerry users can get one of the greatest puzzle games to ever be devised on their handheld for use whenever they’d like. Asteroids Game App for BlackBerry Review

Asteroids was one of the earliest computerized games ever created and therefore it has its own place in the history of electronic gaming That being said, there are many people that own BlackBerry devices today that played that game when it was first released and ended up loving it quite a bit For anyone with that level of nostalgia or for anyone that would just like to see what the earliest games were like, Asteroids for the BlackBerry is definitely an app that you should consider downloading.

Blast away at asteroids just like in the original

Whenever a really old and really classic game is recreated for a new platform, there are always concerns that the people creating the new game will not stay true to the original Well, in the case of Asteroids, it is quite easy to point out that those concerns are unfounded You can blast away at the asteroid field in the game, clearing a path for your ship to fly through just as you would have done in the original version of the game all those years ago.

Asteroids App for BlackBerry

Avoid hitting the asteroids that you don’t shoot

For most people, there are going to be far too many asteroids for them to blow up the entire field This means that once your ship is done blasting through the asteroids, it also needs to make sure that it avoids the asteroids that were not incinerated Remember that the gun on your ship is not your only weapon as a good skill at the wheel can arguably be just as effective as any precise shot that you take in the game.

Watch out for UFOs

Another element to this throwback game is the UFO element From time to time, UFOs will appear and attack your ship Make sure that you’re on guard for these attacks because they can easily derail all of the good work you’ve done in clearing a path through the asteroid field and avoiding the ones that are still around.

Final Score

Asteroids is distinctly a niche game in the throwback genre It does not take full advantage of either the game play or the graphics of the BlackBerry platform, but it does faithfully recreate one of the most famous historical games of all time For that reason, we’ve decided to be a bit generous and give this game a final score of 8.5 out of 10 for sentimental reasons.

Reviews of The Guitar Hero III Game App For BlackBerry

Guitar Hero III Game for BlackBerry

Summary

Guitar Hero is one of the most popular games. This has been true almost since its release. While a large part of the pleasure of playing that game comes from being able to manipulate the guitar setup that comes with it, at the same time people must acknowledge that the game on its own has a lot of merit as well. The BlackBerry people certainly believe this to be the case and that is why the Guitar Hero III app for the BlackBerry has been released for public consumption.

User Interaction

At first, the release of Guitar Hero III for the BlackBerry might seem like a bit of a contradiction. After all, if the BlackBerry is supposed to be the ultimate in mobile technology, how can releasing a game that requires a huge controller be of any use?  Well, you don’t actually get to use that controller in playing this game. It would be a bit ridiculous if you did considering the mobile nature of the BlackBerry, but by the same token it is also a little strange that you don’t get the chance to use one of the main reasons why the game is popular in the first place.

Instead of using that guitar to control your actions in Guitar Hero III for the BlackBerry, you instead get to use the controls on the BlackBerry. You push buttons in order to correspond to the directions that are on the screen, allowing you to play the game in the same way and with the same rules, just with a different controller. It is very similar to playing Flash Flash Revolution online with your keyboard arrows as opposed to playing Dance Dance Revolution offline with the dancing pad.

User Interface

As far as the user interface is concerned, you will see everything that you would expect to see from a Guitar Hero game. There will be the instructions and the graphical elements that you need to follow the action and of course there will also be replies to how successful you were at jamming on your converted BlackBerry guitar. Essentially, nothing about the internal mechanics of the Guitar Hero III game have changed in its movement over to the BlackBerry. The depth might be a bit different, but aside from the change away from the guitar controller, there is really nothing else for you to worry about.

Utility and Productivity

In the end, the utility and productivity of this game is great. When you take a look at the overall mechanics of the control system, it becomes quite obvious how easy it is to control this game. Furthermore, you can easily bash out a song on your way to work if you take public transit, meaning that you can play Guitar Hero III everyday without having to actually worry about it cutting into any other aspects of your life.

Rating

As a result of the great game play, the fantastic productivity and the successful conversion to BlackBerry app status, Guitar Hero III receives a score of 9.0 out of 10.
